If your training tastes like a sauce that’s missing something…
You're in the right place.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR…?

You’ve tried various programs (and then there was that time you tried writing your own) in search of something that would stick beyond the two-week mark.

You know there’s a way to fit it all in — the climbing, the strength training, the social life, the goofing off with your friends when the new set gets put up — but you haven’t cracked the code yet.

The generic, pre-packaged programming you’ve seen feels like a sad, beige wall. And beige just isn’t your color — isn’t there something more fun out there? It doesn’t have to be polka dots and rainbows, but — like, DAMN some of the shit you’ve tried is just not interesting.

Progress feels like something that happens all the time for other people, but this “always a bridesmaid” energy is really getting old. You’re ready to catch the bouquet of progress for once.

You want to train like a badass. You want to send the gnar and have your friends tell you that the rocks should be afraid of you from now on.

Trusting the process is something you’ve always wanted to do, but you get so wrapped up in it if you're “doing it right” or “leaving something out” that sticking with something for the long haul can feel daunting.

You want support to stay on track. You know that even a little guidance could go a long way. If climbing were bowling, you’d be stoked to have the bumpers up every now and again to keep you from bowling the dreaded gutter ball.
Well, my friend, grab your weird, gross rental shoes and a tray of nachos with that bizarre fake cheese on top because
IT IS TIME TO BALL. 🎳

What if you could have…

Focused, comprehensive programming that actually allows you to trust the process
Programming that doesn’t only address the physical side of climbing. It’s the kind of training that makes you think differently, move differently, and actually become a better rock climber.

A framework for following through
No more setting goals in January to forget about them by April 8th. No more letting one rough week derail your entire training cycle. Imagine what it would be like to have actual accountability and evidence-based resources to help you stick with it - even when the going gets tough.

A high-energy, supportive coach + your crew just a click away
Going on a climbing trip? Reach out to the group chat for recommendations on what climbs to get on. Need help with choosing problems for a movement drill? Ask me about it, directly. Not sure if you should bump up weight on overhead presses? In a few keyboard clacks, you’ll have me in your ear saying “PICK UP THE HEAVIER DUMBBELLS! ROCK ON AND GO GET EM!”
Hey, I’m Lauren, your new favorite climbing coach – who’s like, a really good time.
Like you, I’m a recreational rock climber. No one is paying me to rock climb. I’m getting paid to coach. Because I love it – much to the chagrin of my chemical engineering degree.
I started climbing in college – not as a kid. I was also terrified of heights when I first started climbing. I would cry on top rope (not kidding).
In the best way possible, I am not a natural at climbing - which makes me an excellent coach. Because every bit of progress I’ve made in climbing has taken a substantial amount of experimentation and effort. I went from being a climber who would have panic attacks on indoor top ropes to being a climber who can send deep water solo 5.12, take fat whips, redpoint up to 5.12d, and top out tall ass boulders.
All the while having a full time job, starting a business, moving across the country god knows how many times, deciding to take up trail running, and supporting my athletes while I do it.

Bottom line:
I’m someone who is so “normal” in so many ways. My coaching style comes from a place of compassion and practicality for those who want to crush but also can’t live at the climbing gym. If you want to get better at climbing, but you don’t really want to sell your soul to the Devil to do it. I’m the coach for you.
Lastly, I want to mention that while we at Good Spray take improvement seriously - it doesn’t mean that we’re too… serious. 👀
*side note, if you’re curious who “the devil is” I’m pretty sure it’s whoever is putting PERMANENT, AUTO-LOCKING CARABINERS at the top of sport routes in Ten Sleep. LIKE HOW TF ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CLIP THOSE? WITH TWO HANDS!? Whoever is doing this - stop it, it’s bananas.

“Crush it helped me kick start my journey into climbing training. Like many new climbers, I was obsessed with the sport and only wanted to get better.... I would highly recommend Crush It to anyone who is looking to start training for climbing but isn’t sure where to begin. It’s self paced, jam packed with material and the first type of training I’ve ever done that makes me excited to go workout. If it’s not fun I won’t do it, and Crush it is definitely a blast 😊”

“After last summer I felt like my climbing was not improving… It was obvious that by doing the same old I was not progressing... Quickly I started seeing changes… The biggest change so far is in my mental game. I'm trying harder and harder climbs. And seeing that I can learn those hard moves! And I love it!
In the program I like the structure and that it forces me to try all kinds of things and work on both my strengths and weaknesses. And at the same time I have been able to modify it to my needs and my schedule.
To anyone thinking about trying crush it: do it! You will learn a ton of great stuff!! 🤩🤩”
